Penicillin
| 2 oz | Monkey Shoulder |
| ¼ oz | Laphroaig 10 year |
| ¾ oz | lemon juice |
| ¾ oz | honey syrup (3:1) |
| 3 slices | fresh ginger |
Muddle the slices of fresh ginger in a shaker. Add the remaining ingredients and shake. Double strain into a chilled tumbler with a large ice cube. Garnish with candied ginger.
Some recipes call for the Laphroaig as a float.
As an alternative to muddling ginger for each drink, make a honey/ginger syrup.
